Guillaume balance after a great ACLAV Women A1 Women Teams League

There are no doubts, from the figures and results, that the participation of the Argentine National Junior Women Team to ACLAV's A1 Women Teams League was very positive. Now, once the experience ended, the Head Coach of the team, Eduardo Guillaume made a balance of the participation, satisfied from several different points of view. "To be able to play the League is a unique tool, an outstanding decision taken by the Argentine Volleyball Federation".

Moreover than the sport goal, Guillaume and his coaching team planned other goals during this tournament, always thinking on the South American Championship that these girls will play during the second part of the year. "Our main goal, is to give as many summon girls as possible for the Junior Women Team and to some of the Youth Girls Teams the chance of playing in the League. To learn from the competition facing matches with very high performance level, to win experience" explained the Coach.

Therefore, when calling the girls, to those National Team players that had a team (Virginia Granado in Bell, Josefina Baili in Fisherton, for example) they were allowed to live the experience with their teams but "We settled a team with other girls and rotate them giving all the chance of this great experience" he pointed out. Only three of the girls participated of all the season: Victoria Zabala, Kathia Rüd and Ana Ahun.

The sport goal was fulfilled. First, they won at least one match and then they qualified for the Play-Offs, to obtain as many chances of competing as possible. This was the outstaning decision taken by the FeVA. "We finished very satisfied with this experience and we have to maintain it along the seasons. There are at least 20 matches in the best Argentine Women Teams competition, 10 weeks of hard work, in a scenery where each of the players must show the best of themselves. It is a unique tool" started saying Guillaume.

Making a deeper balance, he added: "The fact that they won a set against the Champion holder, Banco Nación, another to Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata, add a lot. The girls learn from playing such matches in a serious competition and in the long run the results can be seen. We also learn to know them better and we can make a balance of each one of them, something not possible if they only train. We can not gain experience at the South American Championship".

The work of the coaching team in the balance also talks of the good results: "We took stadistics of the 20 matches and outside spiking the girls showed the same mainstay level as all the other teams in the League".

Now, the girls will go on working with their teams first, where they will show their growth. "We will follow the work of each one of the girls, talking with them, with their coaches". And then come "five more concentrations playing at least two-three friendly matches in each one of them" he added. The first concentration will start April 12th.

There is also the work to make friendly tours with Brazil and with Univerysity combinations of USA.
